Here comes the Tooth Fairy.

Posted on July 16, 2015 by Erika Scott

Love(1)It’s been a pretty busy time around here, we recently got back from Manitoba on the 10th. The kids grandpa asked if he could take K and Z for a couple of days, so off to the farm they went. K was a bit disappointed that she couldn’t bring her tooth to her grandpa’s house. After I explained the Tooth Fairy only knows where she lives, and doesn’t know where her grandpa lives she was okay with leaving it behind.

Yesterday the kids came back from their grandpa’s house. K couldn’t stop talking about how excited she was to be able to put her tooth in the bowl of water. You see in our house when a child loses a tooth, we put the tooth in a bowl of water on the table. Once everyone goes to bed the Tooth Fairy comes and collects the tooth, drinks up the bowl of water because she’s so incredibly thirsty from her journey to our house LOL. She then leaves a present, this can be anything from a small toy, to a colouring book, or even occasionally money. Once she leaves she returns the tooth to her fairy castle and she turns it into dust. At least that’s what my kids believe, I’m completely responsible for the tooth in a bowl of water and drinks it up part. K was the one that explained to me what the Tooth Fairy does with the tooth once she’s back at her castle, and Z completely agrees with her.IMG_5330(1) This morning a very excited K got dressed and raced down to the kids table to see what was waiting for her. It seems the Tooth Fairy was feeling extra generous, considering it was K’s first tooth. She left behind a five dollar bill and a completely dry bowl of water… Yes apparently she drank every drop. 😛 Moments later after posing for a picture K tells me she has another loose tooth. Fast-forward another five minutes, and then she comes racing into the kitchen. She was over the moon, she lost ANOTHER tooth… She better be careful or she just might put the Tooth Fairy into bankruptcy. 😉IMG_5346(1)UPDATE:
The Tooth Fairy brought Keera two dollars for her second tooth.FullSizeRender(1)What did you do when your child lost their first tooth? If your child hasn’t lost a tooth yet, what do you plan on doing when they do?
