Today was an incredibly hot day, hiding in our house with the window A/C on full blast didn’t help much. It was probably more hot in our house, then outside believe it or not. Keera was off at school, and hopefully she was learning in a air conditioned environment. Zaden, Em and I were relaxing in the darkness of the living room, watching some Avengers. I’m so happy that this time around the kids are more into Super Hero’s then Dora, sorry Dora. After 3pm every day is when our mail gets delivered to our mailbox. So we decided to brave the outdoor heat, and go down the block to check our mail. WE GOT ICE CREAM COUPONS! I love when we get coupons for Marble Slab, coupons for ice cream cones for 99 cents, or buy one get another for free, etc. What’s there not to like about them?
I’ve always been a huge Dairy Queen fan, I love their soft ice cream. However recently I tried Marble Slab, and I fell completely in love with their hard ice cream it tastes so much better then soft ice cream. I’m not a big fan of their prices, so when we got the coupons I was completely over the moon it was perfect timing. There’s no better way to cool off on a hot day, then going to get some ice cream besides going to the pool.
Marble Slab has so many delicious flavour choices, and cone choices. The last time we went to get some ice cream at Marble Slab, I tried a flavour called Chocolate Swiss. Hands down the best flavour I’ve had there, so far. This time I decided, to ask them to mix in some Oreo cookies; and put it inside a dark chocolate peanut covered cone… heavenly. Zaden got his usual cotton candy in a sprinkled cone, and Keera and Emilee got a strawberry yogurt in a sprinkled cone. My mom got a chocolate with Rollo, in a dark chocolate peanut covered cone I think. I love how the simple things make my kids smile, and I especially love getting coupons for delicious things, that make things more affordable for this mom on a budget.
