At the beginning of the week I did some strawberry prep. We had a whole bunch of strawberry cases, eight to be exact. (Even though only six are in the picture.) We love strawberries in our house, they don’t last long at all. I didn’t want them to go to bad or go to waste so I decided to clean, cut, and freeze a couple cases of the strawberries. I left two cases so we could have them as a snack or for the kids lunches.
Then the remainder of the strawberries that I didn’t freeze, I made into strawberry jam. YUM!! I love fresh berries, it’s a shame they don’t last longer, I had a taste of jam on a piece of toast and it was delicious.
My next attempt is to make some baby food out of a butternut squash that I have. It’s my first time, so hopefully it turns out I will be posting pictures of it once I’m done. I’m sending out good positive vibes out for everyone that is trying something new today!
