Yesterday I was feeling pretty down thinking about how things used to be before I had kids, how much more organized my place was, how much cleaner it was. I wouldn’t trade my kids for anything, but I do miss everything being in it’s place and the fact that when I used to clean it would stay clean for longer then 5 minutes. So I sat myself down and wrote down the reasons why it’s worth it.
- There’s no better feeling then hearing your kid(s) say they love you.
- When my kids randomly come up to me and give me a hug and/or a kiss.
- When my kids smile, when they smile you can see a twinkle in their eyes.
- When they laugh, I love hearing them laugh!
- Hearing them say “Please” or “Thank-you” it’s so heart melting.
- Knowing that you are responsible for making them into a good human being, and that they trust you without limits to help them be the best they can be.
- Watching them “get” something for the first time, especially when they struggled with it for awhile.
