A typical parent Sunday.

Posted on January 3, 2016 by Erika Scott

IMG_3321(1)Today was a typical parent Sunday, Emilee and I cuddled in bed until around 11am. Then we got up and got ready for the day, I spent a couple of hours paying bills {Gas, water, electricity}. After I finished that, we head out to Costco to do some light grocery shopping and some browsing. We came across a taste table, and this lady was giving out samples for this water called “Karma Wellness Water”. It’s water that comes in several different flavours with vitamins, except the water and vitamins are in separate areas. That way the vitamins don’t just sit in the water causing them to deteriorate. After a quick taste test of all the flavours, I decided we’d buy a case. The flavours in the case we bought had three Acai pomberry, three Pineapple coconut, three Orange mango, and three Raspberry guava jackfruit in it. I was worried I wouldn’t like the pineapple coconut flavour, because I’m not really a fan of coconut but surprisingly it was delicious.

I seen some plastic kid chairs for 17.99 each, they had blue and green ones. So I grabbed two blue ones, my thoughts at the time was that Keera and Zaden would each have the same coloured chair. You know so they wouldn’t fight over whose chair was whose, because they’d be identical. It never crossed my mind to grab another one for Emilee, until we got to the till. Moms said she would watch the cart and Emilee while I raced back to grab another blue chair. It didn’t even bother me that I seen a lady with four green and four blue chairs heading toward the tills. I mean it’s Costco right, they never run out of stuff…right? I got there and there wasn’t a single blue chair in sight just green ones, and I had to get Emilee a chair so green it was.IMG_3334(1)I’m not saying I regret my decision because I do love the chairs, and the kids do too but I regret not grabbing three of the same colour while I was there. For supper we went to Red Lobster, and that’s when I discovered that at least two of my children for sure have expensive taste in food. Emilee showed a new-found love for crab legs, she ended up eating almost all of my moms and some of mine. Previously Zaden has expressed his love for steak, it’s his go-to meat when he gets the option. Don’t get me wrong that’s not necessarily a bad thing, well okay it’s a bad thing for my wallet… I’d better get my butt in gear to support these expensive tastes lol. 😛Emileeeatingcrablegs(1)What is your favourite thing to do on a Sunday alone or with your family?
