This morning we were organizing around the basement, and we came across the TV and it’s accessories (gaming system, controllers, movies, and video games). I’m extremely embarrassed to say that it’s all just sitting on top of a plastic empty tote box. It’s not that bad considering the kids are the only ones that use it right now, so guests don’t come over and see it. It just looks disorganized, there’s no where to put all the stuff. So we got discussing that we didn’t want it to look like that anymore, but we just wanted to get something simple for now. I did a little bit of Google searching and found various sites and we found some that we liked on the IKEA’s website. We thought we’d check out what they have in person at the store.I absolutely LOVE IKEA, but I am questioning our sanity; we had all three kids in tow. Once we got there and went straight to the entertainment stand area, there was so many choices. It was supposed to be a quick, in and out trip; we all know that’s never how it goes. We finally decided on something we liked, so we wrote down the number. Next we were supposed to go straight to the warehouse, and then pay. However the kids and I got distracted with the kitchen section, so many beautiful design layouts! I found a kitchen that resembles most of what I want in my dream kitchen. A huge counter with tons of space, tons of storage and a large fridge with a freezer drawer. After browsing around that section we headed to the plate/cups/utensils area. I seen these adorable wine glasses I just had to have. I don’t drink wine, but it’s nice to drink from fancy glasses every now and then. (The joys of being a parent, it’s the small things that make you happy ha ha). I finally picked out two that I liked it was a hard choice, there was a huge selection. By then my mom and Keera had wandered off to a different area of the store. Then I remembered that I wanted something to store the kids cutlery in, because the container we had was taking up way to much space on the counter. I was looking for something specific, and I wasn’t going to settle for anything less. I found what I was looking for, perfect size and height!!Zaden, Emilee and I found my mom and Keera in the bedroom area. Keera informed me about what bed frame she wants for her bed, and that she wants a new comforter. It was cute I admit, but we weren’t going to get it today. My mom and I agreed that we would meet up in the warehouse area, and so Emilee, Zaden and I went to check out the plant/picture frame/art-work area. Zaden seen a gardening hat and he insisted that I let him try it on. He told me to take his picture to send to his dad because he “looked so silly”. 🙂 As far as the entertainment stand goes, we got to the warehouse and the kids were starting to get antsy they wanted to eat. It had been 2 hours that we were browsing around IKEA, and the cashier lines were very long like they usually are in IKEA, and we ended up forgetting to get the entertainment stand. We’ll have to go back another day and pick it up. I am completely in love with my trio and even though it’s sometimes stressful bringing them with us to stores I wouldn’t change them for anything in the world.
Do you shop at IKEA? Do you enjoy shopping with your kid(s)? Do you usually go into a store to buy something and leave with everything but that item?
