The last week I’ve been running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off. I started off the week by clearing off the kitchen table also known as the most popular dumping ground for everything. I really wanted the kids to have supper with us at the big table instead of at the little kids table that they typically eat at. We decided that we were going to have bass fish for supper, and that’s were I learnt how to cook fish in the frying pan for the first time!I know how to cook fish and I’ve cooked it 40+ times, but I’ve only ever cooked it in the oven. I was shocked to discover how much butter and flour you actually need to cook the fish in a frying pan lol. I was nervous at the beginning of cooking the fish that I wasn’t going to cook it well enough, but I’m happy to say that I did a great job cooking it. Everyone including the kids enjoyed the fish very much, it was in fact so delicious that there was no left overs. 🙂
Once we were done supper, I cleaned off the table, and put the dishes in the dishwasher. I did what I’ve been promising Keera that I would do for the last two weeks now. She decided we were going to paint her finger nails orange ( a favourite colour of mine). I realize that it takes time to paint her nails and I don’t always have the time but I know I need to make time to do it on a regular basis. Keera’s a nail biter (a horrible bad habit that I’ve been trying to get her to stop). I’m not sure if she does it because she’s got low self-esteem or if she does it because she’s got nerves. I did notice from the last time I painted her finger nails that, she won’t bite her nails when there painted. She also has more confidence when they are painted using her own words she says she feels “prettier” If it’s something that makes her happy, boosts her confidence, and makes her stop biting her nails then I’m all for it and I need to make it a priority to make time to do it. Next time though I think I’m going to try to convince her to use a nice blue nail polish that I have.
