Yesterday night at dinner while I was finishing up my supper, Zaden brought his piggy bank to the kitchen (it looks like a really big bottle but it’s plastic and has the flames on it). He just got it for Christmas, so he had no money put in it yet. This is the conversation we had.
Zaden: “I don’t have any money in my piggy bank yet”
Me: “After supper we can give you some for your piggy bank”
Zaden: “How do you open the piggy bank?”
Me: ” You don’t open your piggy bank it’s to save money”
Zaden: “I want it to play games (he’s referring to the games at the movie theater because it’s “so much fun”)”
Me: “How about you save it for when you are 1-8 eight-teen, so you can buy yourself a car or a house”
Zaden: “Or I can buy a dog, a cat or a mouse!!”
My 3 year old says the funniest things, and I hate to disappoint but I’m not allowing ANY mice in my house ever. I’m not anti-cat I do enjoy cats, we grew up having them when I was younger but they were always outside (in the barn). I think cats are beautiful, I like to pet them and hear them purr. I just don’t think they are a good fit for my house, I’m more of a dog lover.
