Today was yet another big milestone for us, Zaden graduated preschool! I can’t even believe my little boy is off to kindergarten in September. It seems like the last couple of years have just flown by. We put him in preschool a couple of months after he turned 3, CLICK HERE to check it out. After that wasn’t working out we pulled him out and waited nine months. Then we enrolled him in this preschool, CLICK HERE to see Zaden’s first day. I was nervous about how things would go, but he was another year older and had better teachers. Now he’s ready for kindergarten, and he’s used to being in a French environment. During the school year, Zaden was always eager and excited to go to school. I’m hoping he’s as eager to go when he starts school in September. It’s unreal that he’ll be taking a bus, and going five days a week a long with Keera. My days will definitely be very quiet, with only Emilee and I.Zaden’s preschool teachers told us, that he was always happy when he got to school. They looked forward to seeing him. That he was caring, considerate of others, and overall a real pleasure to be around. I know that he’ll thrive in kindergarten, he’s so smart and already knows most of the things you only learn in kindergarten. Zaden is the type of kid that constantly needs to be challenged, or else he gets bored. That’s why I’m so excited for him, and what the future holds…even though I can’t believe how fast it’s happening. I wish I could just pause time in this moment. He was so proud when they gave him his graduation cap, and I was almost crying lol. They asked him what he wanted to be when he’s older, and true to his personality he said “Thor”. In case most of you haven’t noticed, Zaden is obsessed with Superheros. There’s not much about them that he doesn’t know.
The teacher’s told us to bring some food, since today was the last day we were having a potluck. The last potluck we brought cupcakes and they didn’t get eaten. So this time we decided to bring watermelon instead, which was perfect because it was really hot out. The kids prepared a mini concert, and Zaden was in full sing mode. Once the little concert was done, the teacher’s got the kids to sit on the floor till their name was called. Each child was individually called up, one of the teacher said a little speech about them. She asked them to say what they wanted to be when they grow up, and gave them their diploma.Afterwards, we all went to grab some food from the potluck table. There was so much food, “homemade pizza”, salsa chips and dip, cupcakes, watermelon, etc. It was quiet until everyone finished eating, that’s when the kids got loud. A teacher set up Styrofoam cups, and dirt on the table. She gave each kid a couple of seeds to plant in their cup, one of the moms started to paint the kids faces. There was so much going on, it was definitely busy. The kids took out the toys to play, and yet another teacher laid out a huge piece of paper on the floor. She set out some chalk, and let the kids go crazy with it. I made sure that we got a picture of Zaden with his teachers. He’ll likely see them around the school next year, but it won’t be the same. I really enjoyed his teachers, they genuinely care about Zaden it wasn’t just a job to them. Once Emilee’s a bit older I plan on her going here too, it’s just a great environment we had a hard time getting her to leave so I know she likes it too!
Did you put your child(ren) in preschool? Did they have a graduation? What did you do to celebrate?
