Last night before work we finally got to do my birthday cake. It was a quick “celebration” and it seems ridiculous to most people who wonder why it’s taken us so long. However the kids and I really wanted to do it with my mom around. It’s an ice cream cake, so it’s not like it’s in danger of going bad any time soon lol. I understand and don’t mind the fact that it’s taken us this long to do it. Everyone’s schedules don’t exactly sync, a typical work night for me is 11pm to 6:30/7am. My mom and the kids usually wake up at 7am, and when I get home I get Keera’s school lunch ready. I then follow-up with words of love nagging her to get ready for school, and get her to eat some breakfast. Those are the days that my mom drives her, and they leave the house shortly after 7:30 to make it to the bus stop for 8am. Occasionally Keera has to take the bus near our place, and she has to be there for 6:45am. Which means there’s a lot of rushing around and wake up time is 6am. Once Keera’s on the bus to go to school, she’s gone all day. So is my mom unless it’s a preschool day for Zaden (twice a week), meaning she comes to pick him up to bring him to school for 12:30. She does all of the driving around for now, so I’m not complaining I’m extremely grateful. She’s does way more than any grandparent should have to do, and she doesn’t often get credit for it.The cake was delicious as to be expected by ice cream cake, and I’m happy the kids were in the mood to let me get a picture of us all together!
