Do you ever find yourself watching your kid(s) and think “wow there’s something I do/did, there is a little piece of who I am and my personality”. Today for example at lunch, I heated up some leftovers for Zaden and gave him some milk to drink. Then as I was getting Emilee’s lunch ready, and heated up I looked over to find Zaden separating the food on his plate. I asked him what he was doing, and he told me “I don’t like my food touching”. Even though this is the first time he’s ever mentioned this, and it will likely not be something he’ll continue to do. I find it humorous because I used to separate my food, I couldn’t handle having the food on my plate touch..unless it was stir fry. Thankfully I’ve gotten more tolerant of it, and I don’t feel the need to keep all my food spaced apart like before. I also don’t think my children have ever seen me separate my food either, but the fact is that’s a piece of my personality. I love discovering new and odd things that my kids do, that I do/did it just makes me feel closer to them.
What’s something you’ve noticed your child(ren) do, that you’ve done or do?
