A couple of months ago we received some Budweiser King Of Beers sauces. Two were Smoked Barbecue, one was Honey Garlic, and one was Mild. I’ll admit that I was very hesitant in using them. I’ve heard from some friends that they thought that it didn’t taste that great, and honestly I based my judgement on that. Until today, it was my mom’s turn to figure out what we were going to have for supper. She took out a roast and put it in our crock-pot, then poured on the Budweiser Smoked Barbecue Sauce. She then added some mini potatoes and that was that. I was unaware that she had used the Budweiser sauce on the roast, and I thought it smelt so good!
Supper time rolled around, we sat down and had the roast with some green beans; and the baby potatoes. The roast was so tender it was falling apart, and the sauce was awesome. It has a little bit of spice to it, but it doesn’t taste like a typical barbecue sauce. I’m so glad that my mom went and put it on the roast, or else I probably would have never tried it. You shouldn’t base your whole opinion on food/sauces just, because of what others say. Give it a try you never know, you might end up liking it! We gave my brother the honey garlic sauce to take home and we still have the one bottle of Budweiser Mild sauce left. I will be holding on to that for an adult night, I think it would taste great on some Costco bare wings.
What’s something new you were hesitant to try? Once you tried it, did you like it or not?
