As many of you know, especially if you follow me on my Instagram. I love making homemade popsicles and smoothies. I don’t follow a particular recipe, I just try it out and see if it tastes good. I’ve created my own little recipe book just for smoothie/popsicle recipes, and every couple of weeks I’m adding more. The only recipe I haven’t been thrilled about so far was the blended watermelon, maybe it’s because I’m just not a huge fan of watermelon? Either way, the kids seemed to enjoy it.
Today I decided I’d use some fresh blueberries, and strawberries from the freezer and blend it with some raspberry yogurt. It made this beautiful purple smoothie blend, it’s definitely a recipe keeper; and for someone looking for something to satisfy their sweet tooth.I needed to replenish the popsicles, since the kids had finished ours off yesterday. I figured this was the perfect time, two birds one stone type of thing. Next time I’m hoping I can get some fresh raspberries, and maybe put in a banana to evening out the powerful blueberry taste. Another quick delicious recipe idea (not pictured above) that you must definitely try is Chocolate ice cream, with fresh or frozen raspberries and milk. It’s heavenly.
